Defending America
Jim Holbert recently completed the VetPac questionnaire. That's why I support withdrawing American troops from Iraq, Afghanistan, and the remainder of the Middle East as soon as possible. Further progress in the War on Terror will be made through energy, industrial, and foreign policies which serve American interests, not by continual foreign war which wears away our military, increases our national debt, and plays into the hands of our enemies. I support withdrawing American forces from many nations where, for far too long, we've maintained expensive bases. Our military forces should be reduced to a size sufficient to defend America and our legitimate interests, and our wasteful and corrupt military procurement program should be reformed. I will work to reduce or eliminate foreign aid which props up corrupt and repressive regimes. The tax money we save by taking these measures should be used for the things we need to do for our own Country and our own people.
