Economy
I went on record in October of 2008 as opposing the financial industry Bailout which Hal Rogers helped pass in Congress.
I pointed out that the Bailout did not require congressional control of the funds, nor did it increase government oversight of the failed and mismanaged financial industries, nor did it secure real and accountable returns for the taxpayers. I was swiftly proved correct on these points by the events of late 2008.
In Congress, I will work to correct the Bailout's faults and to direct tax money to benefit Main Street, not Wall Street.
